The Kevin Prosch Band
Kiss the Son (1996)

After taking time off to record a secular project with the Black Peppercorns, Kevin was back recording another worship album in January of 1996. Battling one of Kansas City's worst blizzards in the last fifty years, approximately one thousand Kevin Prosch Band "diehards" survived the journey to enjoy a wonderfully special evening with Kevin and the band. While there were subzero temperatures outside, things on the inside heated up real quick. It soon became evident that Kevin and the band had been on a new and exciting musical journey since the release of their previous album Come To The Light. Not only had the band matured musically but they had added a whole new sound with the addition of ethnic instruments from all over the world. Kiss The Son, while not as controversial as some of Kevin's earlier projects, is nonetheless just as profound. From the soulful opening track "Adoration" to the extemporaneous world music jam session on the last track, this album keeps you riveted. Be careful not to be driving when you get to "They That Wait" or you might find yourself getting a speeding ticket! The title track "Kiss The Son" will have you in tears by time your finished listening to the song. The incredibly popular "Lord Of The Dance" is now being sung by churches all over the world. Kiss The Son is really an incredible journey make sure you get your ticket you wouldn't want to miss this trip!
